Trail Marker Trees

Indian Trail Marker trees existed long before GPS and Google Maps did.  They help the indigenous people of North America navigate from point A to point B and in a very sophisticated network.

Dennis Downes has spent a lifetime studying, writing about, researching, and preserving this tremendous trees and history behind them.  His labor in this field is about preserving such an important aspect of American history and Native American History.

As well, Dennis has always done what he could to prove these trees exist in his documented photos without giving away the exact location fearing that too many people would exploit the trees or cause harm to them.
